The unit develops, evaluates, and translationally applies pharmacological strategies targeting gastrointestinal and immune-mediated diseases. We integrate preclinical research, translational investigation, and clinical pharmacology to advance innovative therapeutic approaches for disorders of the gut and immune system, combining mechanistic studies, pharmacodynamic and pharmacogenetic investigations, biomarker identification, and therapeutic drug monitoring.
